Great Town Award – an asset to home-owners
Shrewsbury’s home-owners have been served a real boost to their investment with Shrewsbury winning the Great Town Award.
The prestigious win is the result of a national competition run annually by the Academy of Urbanism, whose members include planners, architects and conservation officers. They shortlisted Shrewsbury in September along with Bath and Lewes. In London, last week (Nov 13) they announced Shrewsbury to be the very best.
Alistair Hilton, head of sales at Balfours comments: “This is national endorsement for our beautiful and highly functional county town. The award reflects the hard-work, co-operation, vision and charisma of all of us who work and are lucky enough to call Shrewsbury home.
“It is awards like this and several others the town has won, including: The Times 2023, ‘the prettiest towns for Christmas shopping,’ putting Shrewsbury on the map as a great place to live.
