Ludlow
Ludlow is a historic market town in Shropshire situated on the eastern bank of the River Teme. The town has a rich history dating back to the medieval period and is known for its well-preserved architecture namely Ludlow Castle and St. Laurence’s Church
Ludlow is known for its vibrant community and annual festivals which include the renowned Ludlow Food Festival. It is a cultural hub hosting various performances, concerts, theatre productions, and art exhibitions. The town boasts open-air markets and has numerous independent shops, restaurants, pubs and the Ludlow Food Centre, a known food destination.
Situated close to the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the area features beautiful landscapes, hills and walking trails including routes in the Shropshire Hills and Mortimer Forest. There are several golf clubs nearby as well as National Hunt racing at Ludlow Racecourse.
Ludlow is noted for a host of schools, both within the state and private sector. Moor Park School and Bedstone College are in close proximity whilst Ludlow Church of England School and Ludlow Primary are also highly regarded within the area.
Travel links are good with Ludlow located just off the A49 with Shrewsbury to the north and Hereford to the south and the national motorway network beyond. National railway services are available from Ludlow with various links to the north and south. International airports can be found at Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and East Midlands.
